FACT or FICTION: Mark 16:16 Says Baptism is Required for Salvation

Mark 16:16 reads:
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

This is often used to support the belief that one must be baptized before he or she can be saved.  This verse is like a classic logic problem from high school math class. It is very simple but often misunderstood. In this verse, Jesus sorts everyone into 4 categories:

Does the Bible Support Racism?

Race has always been a major issue amongst people. Various groups attempt to use “science” to determine superiority. Others manipulate Scripture to justify their hatred for others. Many point to the fact that there was slavery in the Bible and racism is often linked to religion through history. However, few study to determine whether the Bible really endorses such behavior.

Why Did God Allow the Holocaust?

Though the Bible, the Jewish people were used mightily. They were given God’s promises, delivered His law and penned His word. They are an example of God’s mercy and judgment to all nations. During times of godliness their blessings revealed God’s power, love and blessings. In rebellion they were chastised by God, revealing His judgment.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. God doesn’t promise bad things will never happen, but He promises to use all things (good & bad) for good. The sins of this world always leads to disaster. Hitler was a tool of the devil and committed atrocities. God did not condone the Holocaust but he

FACT or FICTION: Corn is a Bible Error

Most people associate word “corn” with harvest, cookouts, and many treats.  Others associate it with the Bible. Some believe the Bible’s references of corn in the Middle East are historically inaccurate because it is not native to the region.  In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue … and returned with a corn or two. Therefore, many argue the King James Version’s 92 mentions of corn are errors.

FACT or FICTION: Jesus is the Only Way to Heaven

There are countless religions and philosophies around the word. Believers are often asked if accepting Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. This question is often raised before a global media audience.  One of the most powerful figures in media regularly floods the airways with messages of alternate ways to heaven.  On a talk show one of the most popular televangelist / authors / mega church pastors created a stir when he explained his alternative ways to heaven.  On a more local level, Christians are often asked this question by their peers.  A Christian will seem close-minded by saying “Jesus is the only way” and will spark debate with enthusiastic church members by endorsing alternative ways.

One can passionately argue in either direction but what does the Bible say? The Bible has a

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

FACT or FICTION: The Trinity is Biblical

The trinity is the doctrine that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are the three identities of God.  This is not to be confused with a polytheistic religion in which multiple gods are worshiped.  To better illustrate this, examine water.  It exists in liquid, gas and solid form.  It is H20 in all forms but appears different and is used in separate ways.  As water is a three part compound, God is a three part being.
